Foundation Mission

The Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation serves the community by raising funds that enhance the mission of Oconee Regional Medical Center, supporting projects that fall outside the hospital's regular revenue stream. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and donations it receives are tax deductible.

Projects supported by the Foundation include the renovation and expansion of the hospital's Emergency Treatment Center, and its Intensive Care Unit. The Foundation also works in partnership with SHINE (See How Investments Nurture Everyone), the internal fundraising organization which is supported by employee donations. SHINE projects have included funding of a new canopy over the Patient Discharge Area, the completion of a Bereavement Room adjacent to the Emergency Treatment Center, the renovation of the Mammography waiting area and the resurfacing of the hospital's Walking Track.

In addition, the Foundation offers a range of other opportunities to those who wish to support its mission. These include:

• The Lasting Impressions Brick Campaign, offering donors the opportunity to honor loved ones by placing engraved bricks on the hospital's Walk of Memories

• Annual Oconee Regional Golf Tournament

• Memorial Gifts

• The Dr. Samuel M. Goodrich Scholarship

• Old Capitol City Classic 5K Road Race

• Breakfast with Santa

• The Annual Foundation Ball, a formal black tie gala held each fall.
