ORMC Conducts Community Health Needs Assessment
Oconee Regional Medical Center is beginning a process to identify unmet health needs in Baldwin County through a Community Health Needs Assessment, with the goal of gaining better understanding of local health challenges to assist with developing programs to improve the health status of our community, This assessment will present an opportunity for ORMC and local health partners and providers to join forces and develop strategies for meeting issues and concerns identified through this process.

Applications being Accepted for Sam Goodrich, MD, Scholarship
Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation presents the Samuel M. Goodrich M.D. Endowed Healthcare Scholarship in honor of an extraordinary physician who valued offering financial assistance to those entering healthcare. The guidelines to be used by the Advisory Board of the Scholarship Fund are:
1. Recipients must be enrolled in a healthcare or healthcare-related field of study.
2. A minimum of two years toward a program should be completed to demonstrate commitment to the particular field of study for undergraduate programs. All graduate program students meet this qualification.
3. Preference will be given to Baldwin County, Georgia current or former residents, but in the absence of qualified candidates from this area, other applicant qualifications will be considered.

Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation Gala
Mark your calendars for the annual Oconee Regional Healthcare Foundation Gala on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Centennial Center at Georgia College. Join us for an evening of amazing food, dancing, raffle items and a silent and live auction. Milledgeville's own "Reunion" will be the featured entertainment. The evening's festivities start at 7 p.m.

Diabetes Support Group
The Diabetes Support Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. at the Education Center, located on the 1st floor of Park Tower. For more information, please call 478-457-2300.
Breastfeeding Beginnings Class
The Breastfeeding Beginnings class is taught by a Certified Lactation Consultant and is recommended for any mom who wants to learn or review the basics of breastfeeding . The class will discuss the benefits of breastfeeding, infant led feedings, position and latch on techniques, milk production and supply, and planning for return to work. Fathers or support persons are encouraged to attend as well. The class is free for those who will be delivering at Oconee Regional Medical Center and $25 for those delivering in another facility.
Classes are offered on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m. in the Park Tower Education Center. In 2013, classes will be offered on these Saturdays: March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14, October 12, November 9 and December 14. Childbirth Education Class
A Childbirth Education Class is offered on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. in the Education Center, located on the 1st floor of Park Tower. For more information, please call 478-457-2028.
