History of Harriet’s Closet

Harriet's closetHarriet Goldstein Greenhut lost her battle with cancer in 1998 at the age of 42. Her parents, Jake & Maxine Goldstein, pledged to keep their daughter’s name and spirit alive. From this commitment, Harriet’s Closet was formed.

The original idea for Harriet’s Closet came when the Goldsteins accompanied their daughter for her cancer treatments. The hospital provided a closet featuring items for cancer patients at no cost to the patients.

Harriet’s Closet provides support and items for patients with cancer. This facility honors Harriet’s memory and gives back to the community, providing a much needed service.
