Based on presentations and information presented by four different EMS providers, the Oconee Regional EMS Board announced today that they will recommend pursuing a contract with The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
A start date will be announced when the contractual details are finalized.
Jean Aycock, interim CEO of Oconee Regional Health Systems, Inc., says, “We look forward to this new partnership and continuing the personalized care the EMS service provides to our friends and neighbors in Baldwin County. The Medical Center has a solid reputation and is committed to keeping the paramedic team that is already in place. Our hospital will remain actively involved in monitoring the quality of the service.”
The Medical Center of Central Georgia Ambulance is based in Macon, Georgia and currently provides primary EMS for Bibb County, Jones County and Twiggs County.
